Kevin Atwater seemed to have been a happier guy with his sister and brother. He had a connection outside of intelligence that showed love and warmth, not just a hop in the sack like most of the rest of intelligence. He deserves the chance to show that he is a whole person, very much capable of being a cop and good life outside of CPD. You see warmth in his eyes. You see warmth in Kim's eyes more since she became an adopted mother. Atwater's eyes show sensitivity, trust and the ability to get some criminals to let their guards down without being so threatening. I wish great things for you Kevin Atwater 💜.

This episode hurt my soul. When he yelled “you don’t even know who you are yet” I don’t know how this man doesn’t run this entire show. Absolutely love him. Favorite character by far.

Atwater has lacked background and development for years. They hardly acknowledge his existence on this show. Celeste is an art teacher and this show is about cops, there’s no way we’re going to see a full story on them bc she doesn’t fit. They got rid of all the families. PD starts stories and never finishes the arc. They brought Jordan back, and he disappeared again. Trudy has one sentence a month because they need to bring back patrol officer characters. That black man/ blue wall issue could never have ended that fast and tidy. But hey, if Kim can heal from being damn near shot in half in a few weeks, I guess anything is possible.
