Creating Responsive Image Sprites Using CSS Only

One of the trickier points is making the sprite responsive. It's really not THAT difficult, once you get the base configured. In this video I will show you how I set up the animated sprite-based css mouseover animation featured above.

The video is intended to supplement the written tutorial.

CSS animations with sprites are a great way to keep from having that dreaded 'no image' icon show up when the roll over effect is triggered because with a sprite, both the default and roll over image are in the same file. So they both load and there is no delay in roll over response times.
