The Vulture-II™ 3-Day Backpack is designed for hauling lots of gear. Endowed with 1776 cubic inches (29 liters) of carry capacity, 3 generous compartments, and a wide bottom design; this is the backpack to pack it all into. However, like all Maxpedition® bags, size does not infringe on comfort.

The Vulture II holds true to the Maxpedition ergonomic standard and comes equipped with comfortable back padding, curvaceous backpack straps, concealable chest & waist straps.

The Vulture II also accommodates up to 100oz/3L hydration reservoir with bi-directional tube port (not included), and has plenty of exterior PALS webbing for attaching Maxpedition pouches and accessories. Great for longer hikes, deployment, or buggin' out.

-Nine (9) major improvements that differentiate the new Vulture-II from the original vulture:
1.Addition of 5 rows of PALS webbing per side for full MOLLE compatibility
2.Addition of 2 rows of PALS webbing on front pocket for full MOLLE/ALICE compatibility
3.Addition of 2 quick release compression straps per side
4.Addition of internal silent keyper in front pocket
5.Improved hydration system pocket with zipper opening, a reservoir hang-tab, and a velcro bi-directional drink tube port
6.Hydration pocket now has more capacity (100oz new vs. 72oz old) with greatly increased comfort and ergonomics
7.Hydration pocket can accommodate a concealed firearm using our Hook & Loop Modular Accessories (e.g. #3501 Universal Modular Holster, sold separately)
8.High visibility organizer in lower front pocket - for black Vulture-II (#0514B) only

Cool review on a great bag. I constantly walk my bag into brick walls, (in and out the front door, it’s a tight squeeze) bins, signs and they never rip/wear.
The patches on my Maxpedition bags are wearing from me scraping them.😂 The bags are so strong. If my gear isn’t strong, it doesn’t last with me. Like you, I don’t abuse my gear but I do use it a lot.

I don't know why, but lately I am coming across videos that review the exact things I am looking for. Thanks for the great product review!

Great review mate. I got an idea from seeing your pack. I tucked the shoulder straps/sternum strap back on themselves in the buckle. Much better, less chance of coming loose and it looks neater. Cheers.

Nice review. Black in the days when you were fan of Maxpedition!

Thank you for the review. I have been using this pack for about two years now every day for work. It's so durable, I don't even worry about it breaking. It does tend to ride a little low, but I don't usually use the waist strap and sternum strap. When I do, I can LOAD the bag, and it stays snug on my back without feeling "too tight"Do you know of a bag with this quality, maybe a little taller? That would fit a large laptop? I upgraded to the Vultue II from a Condor II, but this is still a little tight for my laptop in its sleeve. Also, I appreciate you spending the entire review talking about the pack and the details of construction...and NOT showing us the 15, 000 things you carry in the pack and how cool all your little gadgets are! Thank You!!!

i don't have any of it yet (Maxpedition gear), but i'm about to buy some. i research by watching a lot of reviews on something 1st and all i hear is good things. i have never heard 1 single bag thing reported by any Maxpedition user, so far. so, i'm about to order some Maxpedition now. i want the Vulture and i want the Typhoon to load-up as a get back home bag and leave it in the trunk of my car. the Condor II 1-day pack.... that looks real nice, too. for right now though, i'm thinking i'm buying the Vulture II. then it's very likely next i'll buy the Typhoon? thank you for your time and help - i thumbed-it-up!

Excellent review! Thank you! Just the info I was looking for! A few other things though, it looked liked it had a tuck away waste strap, and a rubber bottom with two compression straps. Also, curious about how water tight it is. Impossible to cover everything but you came very close. Thanks much for your review!!!

Correction: it is 2810 cubic inches (46 liters) not 1776 cubic inches (29 liters). Other than that I thought it was a great review!

Thanks for giving it some though.  I am really looking for something that may not be.  For now I am using the Midway USA large range bag.  I paid $50 for it last year and never used it.  So it works for now but a little small.  It's not like I need it asap, I have time.  It's just something I want and would be nice to have.   Keep up the great info videos

no haven't looked at the rush packs. but I will. thought i would go get the trail with my ILBE pack but I've decided that its just too big. and the condorII a bit small , I'll figure it out eventually lol

You were about to show us the bottom but then you thought of something you forgot to say about the previous section and flipped it right side up again in a flash and never got back to it. I'd like to see how it would handle a bed roll, tarp, or maybe one of those extension pockets.

Very good review, thanks for sharing. Could you give me a measurement of the space between the should straps where they meet at the top? I am considering buying this pack and this is very important to me for proper fit, thanks again.

I know this is an old ass video but I think this pack is meant to haul a plate carrier with armor plates due to the unconventional shape of the bag.
