When i try to put the extender in my room it doesn’t work. A fios worker said i would need to keep it connected to the router and run a ethernet cord through my house doesn’t that beat the purpose of wifi extending i could just use the regular router with the ethernet cable ?

i have a question, when you connect the extender, when you go to wifi does it show up as a seperate network or does it automatically connect to the same network but to the extender
