Utah charter school director addresses teacher on leave over TikTok

In an interview with FOX 13 News, the executive director of Renaissance Academy said the school administration was not notified about Jenna Hall's video by parents of students, but by people with no known connection to the school.

Granted this isn't the entire video but safe places/people should be encouraged, not discouraged. Children (of any age) deserve support wherever they find it. Isolation and condemnation is never the answer to any problem.

I literally go to this school she is an amazing teacher I have never been in her class but she is very fun. I don’t think she should be fired but just give her a warning. I do really like her but this was not okay. I’m happy people have a safe space but you shouldn’t be talking about that with 2nd and 4th graders. I think that is something you should talk about with your parents. Teachers are supposed to teach math and science. Just my opinion.

It’s true, Utah is WAY over relgious and it’s making people take way too long to accept and come to terms with being LGBTQ in Utah. But keep these discussions at that age with child and parent only.
