LOVE this plant. I have one. It lives in a shady place in my living room and is perfectly happy there. The new shoots are bright light green, which looks very pretty in contrast to the black mature leaves!

I just received my zz raven plant in the mail today. My gosh, its gorgeous! Such a deep purple to black color and they give such a great look to the house. Thanks for sharing Summer. Luckily, I found one for a great price, in a ceramic pot. I'm so happy I finally got it because I've definitely been wanting this for such a long time 😍

If you live in the states I’d recommend Walmart! I just picked up a raven zz today in a 6 inch pot for like $16 dollars with the tax. I had to take one home!

The actual cultivar is 'Dowon' as patented by the US Patent Office, RAVEN(tm) is the trademark name

Oh! this must be part of the separated plant that you had which was root bound! You picked a beautiful pot for it.
My mom saw this plant on my Amazon wishlist & bought one for me. I have noticed this plant because it is gaining popularity again on Youtube & I like ZZ Top lol
This is the only plant in my bedroom and it sits under my north facing window & across from my east facing window. I only water it once a month. I love how tough this plant is. I don't have the raven colored one though!
