Not only because she's half Filipino, but because she really embodies what a Miss Universe should be; beautiful inside and out, a great speaker, articulate, has strong advocacy, an empowered woman, very optimistic in everything she does, she doesn't mind the critics, bashers, etc. She doesn't hesitate to say she is half Filipino, despite what country she's representing, which is the USA.
