I have watched several flosstube videos recently in which mybobbin.com was reviewed, and while they were all fine, yours was by far the most helpful in terms of evaluating whether I would use the site and how to use it. Thank you for a useful and very thorough review.

Interesting, Luda mentined the company in a video yesterday and I was going to check them out. I'd watched Ginger Gerald doing the Snowy Owl and the other two are lovely. Fingers crossed I can get some Riolis from them. Oh my gosh that thread card is brilliant. Hugs Kay x

I'm currently stitching a Riolis kit, the thread is quite fuzzy as it's acrylic/wool blend, so different from DMC! but it gives great coverage with 2 threads or even one thread, they are great value. Look forward to watching you stitch on your lovely kits Happy Stitching x

Thank you so much! I was actually turned off the site because I couldn’t find any PDF downloads. Now I’ll go back and look using that link.

I have tried several russian kits and i really like them. Very easy to use, clear and love the bobbined threads that you can just cut off to length thread and go. No separating threads. Thank you for the review I will check out their site.

Thanks for the review-- very thorough and gave me confidence to order. The one thing I'm still hung up on, and I've seen this before on Russian ordering sites, is under shipping information where it states, "Taxes and customs fees are your responsibility and depend on the customs regulations of your country. *Shipping costs do not include taxes and customs duties of your country, and only covers shipping costs.* " Another site warned that items would be disposed of by Customs if fees hadn't been paid, but trying to figure out what the fees might be was monumental. I've ordered from China and shipping costs were ridiculously low, but often they can be shockingly high. So, I'm wondering if you ran into any problem. I'm assuming you would have discussed it in the video if you'd done anything other than place your order and pay the total, but you're in the UK so it might be working differently for you.

Great review Theresa. I have some experience with Riolis kits. They are lovely. Yes they come with Aida, but in my kits it’s zweigart Aida and it’s really very nice as Aida goes. The owl kit yo me also looks like Riolis? Even though the packaging doesn’t make that clear. The fluffy floss on these is usually a mix of wool and acrylic. Riolis uses that in many of their kits, and anchor brand on others. If it’s the wool floss, I wouldn’t recommend using fiber count nor even weave with that floss. I tested it in on 28 count linen/evenweave and it didn’t work as well. Threads were crowded etc.

Luda has mentioned the company but really appreciated hearing your review. Great to know these choices. How did the prices compare? Thank you

Ginger Gerald is stitching the Snowy Owl, it’s on oatmeal Aida, you can wash it before stitching and that will soften it up some. It will get softer as you stitch if you can get through the first while. The floss is wool I think. The key card method is great, they’ve really thought through and found what Stitcher’s really need. There is a Russian kit of the mosques that has been drawing me in for years. Maybe I’ll finally break down once I finish my Mirabilia. They sound like a good company, I’ll have to go check them out. Thanks for taking the time to do the product and business review. They are just over the top of the world from me .🤣😂 I did check out their website and found quite a lot of the items were just not there, threads, beads, and on and on or they were out of stock. Hopefully they will be topping things up and actually have the products.

I buy a lot of my kits etc from Russia, I have always found them amazing people of the craft and service has always been spot on. You can buy wonderful kits from the Russian Federation on ebay wonderful service very fast one of the things I do like if you ask them for any products you've seen on flosstube but cant find it send them a picture of what you want and they try to get it for you 9 times out 10 they have always been able to get what i wanted. Happy stitching sweetie xx

I've just found out that the Russian brand on our Snowy Owl is Riolis apparently. x

I do have a couple of kits with dmc thread as the thread included, so it's not impossible :) Loved your way of reviewing. Also love that Dutch is included in the instructions! Random question: do you speak any other language apart from English?
Lastly, your hairdo is fabulous!

While my computer, if I just double click on where it says Cross Stitch Patterns in the drop down menu, it will take you right to the pdfs. Not sure if that's exactly what you did or not. But I thought I would let you know.

Heartbroken. I had four beautiful items in my cart, and when I went to pay today, (I'm in the US) Paypal refused the transaction due to a" government" policy. Their credit/debit payment is through Paypal also, so dead in the water. Too bad.
