Built in 1660, the Bazaar remains as the hub of spice and herb trade. The Spice Bazaar is an L-shaped building, consisting of 88 vaulted rooms. There are gateways at the ends of both halls and chambers above each entrance way. The main entrance in the southwest corner faces the New (Yeni) Mosque.
