Based on the celebrated novel by famed mystery writer Patricia Highsmith (The Talented Mr. Ripley), “Deep Water” takes us inside the marriage of picture-perfect Vic (Affleck) and Melinda (de Armas) Van Allen to discover the dangerous mind games they play and what happens to the people that get caught up in them. The line about if he was married to someone else that he'd be so bored was almost an exact conversation that Amy and Nick Dunne had in Gone Girl (the book). Nick wanted to leave Amy but Amy assures him that he could go out there and find some nice woman, some decent second wife, but knows that he'd come crawling back to Amy because she's fun and interesting and smart and different. This movie has such a similar feel. I can't wait.
