Sophie, your library is great! And the tour was so nice, thank you!
Your organisation reminded me of a friend who has EVERY shelf doubled or even tripled. It's a bit of a chaos for her to find some books, but it has this very human feeling of a messy cozy life. And, tbh, this is the best aesthetics, cause it's real. You don't reject reality or beauty, they coexist and create each other. So, please, don't feel weird or uncomfortable or vulnerable about it! It's so great! <3 <3 <3

It was absolutely perfect! I'm an archivist so I love nothing more than seeing how other peoples' minds organise their collections of things. I'm sorry you felt nervous sharing your shelves - to me, these are the shelves a lover of books. A reader's shelves should be loved and used and yours certainly are!

Loved seeing into your shelves. I love a collection of well-loved and well-read books; they have a certain depth and life. I also still have my stamp collection and I'm so glad to see yours since I know of no one in my life who had or has one.

I can understand your vulnerability, because your bookshelves are all you. A few things I love about you and your BT channel are your love of reading, writing, and language(s). I love that you read what you want to and feel inspired by. Many BTers are uptight and riddled with guilt and perfection and a strange tendency to please or follow the crowd. I love that you read, shelf books and produce content however the fuck you want to.

That was a great library tour; I genuinely enjoyed it and you definitely have some ranges of books which I find interesting. Very pleasant - I hope you've got over feeling vulnerable, to be honest, we've all got used to seeing a fair amount of each other's houses and it simply makes it feel more like visiting a friend for coffee and a chat. I enjoyed your description of "little Sophie with male pattern baldness and a large tiger", very witty. Thank you for letting us visit.

Color me impressed!! Loved seeing the variety and range of your library complete w * very * aesthetic bookcases and tchotchkes and personal mementos. It is a weird thing to overshare on the internet bc you wanna keep boundaries u just don’t know where exactly to draw the line. Or at least that’s my case. Also i do believe you have more books than i do! Which is a feat and i applaud you esp living in a nyc apt! You’re never alone w a good book much less so many of them!

Thanks so much for the tour! I’m doing a similar video and yeah, I definitely get the vulnerability part, so thank you again. I love your bookcases. I loved you sharing the knickknacks and pictures. 😊😊😊❤

Your most-loved bookcase is impressive. Also impressive is how hard those kind are to get down staircases (we used to do it when I worked for the Salvation Army) 😮. But for them, it was worth it. What did you think of Kawakami's "Breasts and Eggs" which I see there, I just finished it myself. And you have danced ballet. Of course you have, you are some sort of elvish or nymph-like being. Sigh.
