Alpinestars Ramjet Air Pants Review

The Alpinestars Ramjet Air Pants are all about hitting back on summer heat. Constructed of a 450D/650D outer shell combo, the Ramjet Air Pants incorporate Air-Flow mesh strategically throughout for the maximization of the welcome respite of cooling ventilation. When riding, however, ventilation isn’t the only comfort concern. To augment mobility in the Ramjet Pants, Alpinestars has also incorporated ample accordion stretch inserts to allow for better maneuverability in the saddle. Additional features of the Astars Ramjet Air Pants include external zippered pockets for peace-of-mind storage, full mesh 3D lining, and removable CE-approved knee and shin protectors.

I found when I tried the Alpinestars Andes V2 Drystar Pants I would select medium, I was comfortable in medium and would wear armour leggings or stretchy slim jeans underneath w no issue. I am debating those or these Ramjets, I realize in 2020 they are older but I like this pant but the Drystar seems to be a better pant for all weather but at same cost what would you choose?
Bit the bullet and ordered the Valparasio 2 Drystar Pant, in medium hoping I like the fit of these in grey /black

How durable are these pants? I seen a tic Tok on them. Some kid went down on a highway in them and they were torn to shreds and provided no protection.

Ventilation-wise, how would these compare to a pair of jeans? I can’t decide between these and Wake Air pants. I’d rather have the extra protection these offer but I do want something cooler than a pair of jeans.

I tried these pants today. Not sure if I'm just short, but with the SM (small) size, the knee guards are actually riding at the shin level when I'm standing up. When I squat a little to simulate a riding posture, I will still have to manually pull the pants a bit higher in order for the pads to be covering my knees. Is that expected?

Hi, would these vent better than the Valparaiso 2 (with all the liners out)? Or is the Valparaiso 2 a better investment for spring, summer, fall riding? Thanks

Do not buy this pants if you planning to use supplied knee armour . I am 6.1 with 33 inseam bought large, my knee armour is lover then my knee cap even when adjusted to the highest position . I am very disappointed with alpinestars was expecting better design from them, otherwise nice pants
