Code Geass OP1 | Colors | Animenz Arr.

Glad I managed to finish learning this right before the winter season starts.

I feel like this is definitely one of Animenz's more difficult arrangements. Harder than This Game but below Unravel and My Dearest I would say.

It turns out Animenz has really giant hands (compared to me atleast), which makes some of the parts in this arrangement a bit troublesome. Some of the left hand I had to leap between notes that should be together since I can't even reach a 9th, let alone a 10th, and a lot of the right hand chords in the chorus I had to remove some notes since I can't stretch my fingers enough to reach them all.

1:49 and 2:07 were especially difficult. At 1:49 I can't reach far enough to do the more optimal 5-4 fingering for the upper notes, so it was a real struggle to slam my pinky down over and over.

Those parts aside though I'm pretty happy with the performance.I feel like it was better than my This Game playthrough, and definitely better than Unravel by far.

Damn man, amazing performance! Really solid technique, good job on the dynamics, you manage to keep that flow (lololol) throughout the piece, which isn't easy on such difficult arrangement, as you said.
Also I didn't notice you had kinda small hands, it's kinda reassuring since I barely reach a 10th, and that a lot of Animenz's arrangements requires a good handspan sometimes

All memez aside this was a hella great cover to listen to, one small complaint that I had is just that I felt that the opening ostinato of the arrangement should be just a *bit* louder ;)

DAMN That's amazing. how much time did it take u to learn this? I agree, this seems harder than This game but slightly less advanced compared to my dearest. Maybe almost the same difficulty as Unravel no? Especially the classical runs he put in are very hard for sure. I didn't know you had small ish hands haha thats amazing how good u are.

I've tried playing the piano and I have pretty flexible fingers. But I can't seem to move them very fast and using the pinky has always been a real struggle for me since it's pretty small 😅 I was wondering if you had any tips to help me with it?
