Dan Fouts talking about John Unitas always puts chills on. These cats doing a second show together where it's all breaking down Unitas film would be immense.

Justin is a throwback himself. When he went back into the Chiefs game after suffering a hairline fracture to the ribs. He showed true grit and earned my respect as a fan of football. I am a vikings fan though yet I love his gameplay.

So fascinating how Fouts was discussing less about film and more the personal of those games, and what they meant for him… While Herbert was strictly technical and gave some analysis

Go Ducks!! Love to see the Oregon legends talk shop with/for the Chargers! Not a LAC fan, but will always root for Herbert.

Pretty cool stuff here. I was hoping for more of Fouts talking analytically about how the Coryell offense is still a major component in how offenses are run today. That said, it was cool to get personal insights about the players and coaches he was involved with. I also liked seeing Fouts 1st TD pass.

On a sartorial note, could the Chargers PLEASE wear the yellowish pants with the dark blue jerseys? It'd remind me a lot of the Coryell era and would be a unique look for today's NFL.

To top it all off, it's wise that the two main games they talked about with Fouts are two games i'd show to anyone who wasn't around in that era. It'd show that football back then wasn't "boring" but could be pretty fun and quasi modern to watch.

Fouts is, of course the greatest chargers quarterback ever. My hope is that Justin Herbert will bring home something Dan hasn’t able to get, a Super Bowl Championship

For me as a Ducks fan of nearly 62 years and choosing Mel Renfro as my sports hero, this is and awesome video to have now, love Dan Fouts, he was a country club in Portland Oregon I was working and my great friend and waitress got his autograph when told her to thank me for the great burger, he just wrote Bombs away Terry and his signature.
As for Justin Herbert I know people from his neighborhood and actually used park around the area and walked to Autzen Stadium from there as he did.
Had actually been trying keep tabs on him when he was a freshman in high school having of him from friends in Eugene and was thrilled when Oregon finally offered and not surprised that he eventually started as a freshman, not surprisingly in my mind he is doing well BUT really didn't see this rise to fame coming like it has, it has been my absolute favorite sports story to follow as a Ducks, Chargers and Cowboys fan, I have told many people that I honestly have a strong sense of pride when I talk about Justin, just know we are from the same area.
He is definitely a sense of pride for an entire community, and then put the Beaded one with him, Justin Herbert, I have actually been waiting for this since Dan whispered to Justin at his golf Tournament last year that he would like to get together with him iwhen is is in LA, I knew it would be fun.
I am not disappointed 😌
Thank you.
PS. More please they could a regular gig do Ducks and Chargers analysis.

Excellent. Chargers are probably my favorite team after the 49ers, and as I've said previously on this channel I'll always have an affinity for the 1978-1985 Air Coryell saga. Remarkable that both of these cloud maestros went to Oregon, and are now playing for the same franchise.

Just watching this again after a year and I love both of these players. Dan Fouts and Charlie Joiner was the reason I became a Chargers fan. I was 12 years old outside in the cold, rain or shine with my friends playing tackle football pretending to be both of them. Herbert with Harbaugh will be exciting to watch. GO CHARGERS!!!

Uncle Dan!!! My mom & his wife were ballet dancers together when I was a kid, and my dad was his insurance agent. His niece married my close friend.
Because of Dan, I got to go to an photo shoot and met the '92 Dream Team.
Love you, Dan!!!

This is the kind of videos I truly enjoy.
Love it when a legend of the past from the same franchise sits down with the new head of the franchise and talk about their games and share history. I wouldn't mind seeing this happen with Miami, Maybe Someday with New England and other franchises whom draft a great QB and have a legendary QB that's a HoF'er to chat with. Great Work NFL Films 😃

That was awesome. I really enjoyed watching Dan Fouts and the Air Coryell offense, and the sky is the limit for Justin Herbert. Two talented Chargers quarterbacks. I hope we get to see more of this type thing!

So true as Dan said, Coryell gave Fouts the ball and as a fan that was awesome. Looking forward to Moore doing the same thing for Justin.

The Eugene to San Diego (LA) connection! Chargers have become the team I cheer for in the AFC now that the Seahawks have moved to the NFC...I miss the old AFC west.
