Aerial Views of Hollow Pond, Leytonstone, London

See Hollow Pond from the air in these aerial views of the previous gravel pit in Leystonstone in the east of London, taken from a DJI Mini2.

Hollow Pond, on Leyton Flats in London, is an old gravel pit apparently. Gravel was dug out and used on the forest roads in Epping Forest. This left a big hole that filled with water and people used to swim here - but it was unsanitary, so the council built a proper Lido on the pit, as I understand it, and it was much loved. Alas, the lido has gone, but people around these parts appreciate the Pond and a bit of nature in the city.
