AAP Shifts Pollution Onus To Central Government, Says, 'Centre Must Ensure Farmers Not Burdened'

As per the latest news, ahead of Diwali, Delhi's air Delhi air quality has already begun to deteriorate to the poor category, the Delhi government has already put a ban on firecrackers on 1st January 2023, which is the fourth such time in a row that a decision of that nature has been taken. However, there seems to be no end to pollution woes as double burning is already on the rise in the state of Punjab for the report 350 farm fire cases have now been reported between the 15th of September to the 3rd of October this year.
AAP in Punjab took action against stubble burning.
"We sprinkle Pusa bio dg to control stubble burning smog in Delhi. We did it on 4000 acres last year and will do it on 5000 acres this year. Since we have our govt in Punjab we want to hold a discussion with the government of U.P and Haryana we have also written to the Centre requesting a joint meeting." Gopal Rai, Environment Minister.
