Sign production: Aluminum Street Stop sign making process

Aluminium is used in street sign production because of its durability. It can go against harsh weather conditions and stay outdoors for a long time.

Stop Signs usually have red octagon shape with the word "STOP" printed in white.

In the video the CNC miller cuts the aluminum sheet giving it the shape of an octagon. Later the notice “Stop” is applied on red and white decals with the help of a squeegee for a bubble-free application. At the end the sign is fixed on the aluminum pole and the sign is ready.

United Nations Economic and Social Council's Conference on Road Traffic in 1968 proposed the standard stop sign diameters of 600, 900 or 1200 mm and the octagon shape.
