So interesting! This variety generates a lot of excitement in certain quarters back east. It may not be at its best in Oregon’s climate, despite the special microclimate.

Remember this was my first tasting and the figs were overripe. I expect them to improve significantly as time passes.

too bad they aren't so impressive. I felt that way about my marius black greek. It looks really good but the taste was not very sweet. Will have to see if they get any better next year. This is the first year it fruited as I started the cutting last year and also there was just a lot of rain the last month so that could have contributed to it's not so sweet flavor too. If it doesn't get any better though I will probably get rid of it. It is productive though so we'll see.
