Ah they weren't kidding, the Psyker really DOES argue with subtitles. I've seen a couple of comments in other videos that claimed this.

This was likely a goof left in either intentionally or not but it perfectly fits A Psycker’s character to break the fourth wall like that

I think the pyscker who constantly talks about their beloved also breaks the fourth wall because they always talk about how this is all not real and a dream, and they thank their “beloved” when they get kill, which I think the beloved might be the player

The daft part is, the subtitled line also makes sense. A definition of foreshortened is "prematurely or dramatically shorten or reduce (something) in time or scale." And given the whole situation...

I don’t understand 😅. How is this breaking the fourth wall? I hear ppl say this all the time but to me he’s just talking to his teammates and they are ignoring him.

It's not a fourth wall break as good as that would be. He's saying he senses foreshortened lifespans, referring to the enemies, but the extra lines basically are him trying to reassure his team that he means foreshortened and not four shortened. As you can understand a psyker saying he senses his squads imminent death is not the greatest look. The "look at me not them" is him getting angry because they ignore him, which is why there's no follow up quotes from any character regarding this. It's also why with subtitles off the quote makes perfect sense. The female psyker I play has the same voice line but doesn't say "no I said... etc. etc."
