This is confirmation, I was having this exact conversation this week about out those that believe the gifts cease believe the more theological and stoic you are the holier you are. It’s all about knowing the Holy Spirit and surrendering to Him and whatever gifts He chooses to give. I feel a holy indignation for those who deny the power of the Holy Spirit!

Good word!! Now I understand this little better..I was raised in a zero emotional christian church until I was 18. It was battle spiritual to get that stuff off of me. so I can worship God freely, , lifting my hands in worship in front of people. Fear trying to stop me. I meant a Godly Pastor and his wife. I find that strange that some Christians are cessationism. John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
I believe in the move of the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues, casting out demons, healing of all sickness and diseases.
If we deny the move of the Holy Spirit than we deny the word of God.

What gives me pause with emotionally charged spirituality is the times I have heard “prophecy” coming from that situation that didn’t come to pass. There is such a thing as emotionalism vs spiritualism, and the empty emotionalism is blasphemy.

Amen and amen. Holy Spirit will teach us to allow His Spirit to move our spirit whilst putting our soul into subjection under our spirit. This is a very freeing place to be in. Don't worry about the natural man, he cannot receive the things of the spirit. Leave him with God and focus on Christ instead.
