Yowie, yeti and quaggath. In the beginning, the gods asked them "Do you want brains or hair and they said, "Want hair!""

Im finding it fun to think that they have a variation of the spell "pass without a trace" that is activated subconsciously (done more as a psionic manifestation) when they wake up and lasts until they go to sleep. With that said, they would probably make it excellent ranges and druids, those stories about having longer lifespans could be the result of Yowie druids getting to the point where the local nature spirits extend their lifespans.

I appreciate that this rendition of the Yowie is more in keeping with the spirit of the source material than many other less fortunate material on bigfoot type creatures in role playing games.

Great content as always AJ

it is nice that someone's making game content for basically anything in the southern hemisphere, let alone Australia which is the 2nd 'place everyone forgot' next to 1st place 'where is that on the map' New Zealand :)

Komodo lizardfolk? Those sound cool. Komodo dragons are my favorite animal.

I am really liking the world-building. You ought to consider publishing this. It’s already looking better than anything that the pointy-hats in the evergreen playground release.

Although the art needs a bit of work. It’s too much gorilla to it. I always pictured the Yowie more like the Man-of-the-woods in Native American folklore, more of a giant hairy man than a gorilla. And it didn’t get the feet turned around the right way.

These things are real in Australia, not fiction

I made a statblock for the Whowie, a big ol’ lizard creature, a while back. The key was to make it very stealthy despite its size, since it mostly feeds by ambushing sleeping creatures. Even gave its saliva anesthetic properties.

Great video, AJ.
I imagine a Yowi pelt would fetch pretty good coins in the right circles.

The yowie appears to have a lot in common with the sasquatch of North American folklore.

There are some differences but the overlap is more noticeable.

I really love the lore you've created for the Yowie. It's absolutely canon now in my homebrew setting.

"Whatayatalkenabeet. " - a yowie of some renown...

7:44 yep, that is where the Yowie rug came from 🙂.

This was pretty cool. I especially like the rivalry with the Komodo folk. Reminds me of the snake folk of Akavir in The Elder Scrolls.

I kinda like what the Yowie represents

Osse would be a great OGL game and campaign setting. Occasionally creating more creatures and lore for your channel would be a great way to build up demand for a Kickstarter.

Adding some additional words after Osse should be enough to get past IP laws, but if you proceed it would be wise to check with a lawyer.

These days, Yowie communities are growing much larger as younger Yowie are living at home far longer than before because it's just too hard to adult.
