K-2000U Crankshaft Grinding Machine
AMC-SCHOU crankshaft grinders are built to last with extra-strong castings to ensure stability and long life. All bearings are over-dimensioned to maximize reliability. Antifriction coating eliminates stick-slip effect. Fast and accurate setting-up is ensured by the face-plate system with integrated four-way adjustment. Variable 30° and 72° indexing with +/- 1° fine adjustment is standard. Maintenance free hardened ball screws and nuts ensure backlash free stroke setting in seconds.

I used to operate a couple of these magnificent machines back in the late seventies while working at Perkins Diesel Engine regrind Crankshaft facility..
Up until we had these machines I used to use the Prince grinders, which although good nothing like the Amc machines.
You could set any crankshaft stroke from the small 3 cylinder cranks up to the V8 cranks to within a couple of tenths..
You could also change to the different wheel widths dressed up in less than half an hour.
I spent years on them before they outsourced them to another facility in France.
