Vusi Thembekwayo talks about franchises.

In the intricate tapestry of entrepreneurship, scalability emerges as a key element that can transform a business from being reliant on a single individual into a dynamic, resilient, and impactful entity.

Scalable businesses build redundancy into their operations, ensuring that no single individual is the sole linchpin of the company’s success. This mitigates the risks associated with the unexpected absence or departure of key personnel.

Scalability paves the way for sustainable growth. By diversifying talent and responsibilities, businesses can expand their operations without being hampered by the limitations of a single person’s capacity.

When a business is dependent on one person, it becomes vulnerable to that person’s limitations and challenges. Scalable businesses distribute responsibilities, ensuring that the company can weather challenges and continue to thrive.

Dependence on one individual can hinder a business’s long-term viability. Scalability ensures that the company can endure beyond the tenure of any single person, securing its place in the market.

In essence, scalability isn’t just about growth; it’s about building a business that can stand the test of time. By distributing responsibilities and diversifying talent, scalable businesses create resilient ecosystems that can thrive in the face of adversity and seize opportunities for innovation and growth.

What is more amazing is how he was able to give an answer within a second without really thinking for long

He's absolutely spot on and I am talking from experience. I was selling school lunch hampers ( polony, Vienna, Russians, cheese, juice, eggs, snacks and yoghurt) in the township. I then approached spaza shops owned by Somalis and Pakistanis, taking a page on how Twizza grew through the spaza shop market. Initially, this plan was very profitable but in time; they did the same thing and cut me out of the value chain. Boy was I so wrong. Lesson learned...

Kudos to her for even going into schools to teach entrepreneurship because many schools intentionally leave it out in order to make the children workers and not leaders, she is changing lives and giving them a chance and being selfless while doing it. May God continue to bless her amd her heart and those that grow from her knowledge.

I love it when courageous people ask questions... that to me is the first step to entrepreneurship - having the courage to put what you know to test until all the knowledge you have are only what works. That, to me, is the basis for solid growth for all entrepreneurs. Kudos to the lady.👍

I once owened a kios at a hair salon selling refreshments to customers waiting to do their hair. 2 months into running the business, the owner kicked me out and opened his own kiosk.

We listedned to this advice when this was recorded, made us make our unique proposition unique and difficult to replicate. We shifted the market focus from partnering with schools to opening online lessons and centers. Its true that schools are going to try it themselves. We really would advice her to continue but make stratgic relationships governing edication bodies.

People don't look for logic but the articulation. Vusi himself is on that business of teaching people entrepreneurship, that's is what got him where he is, and it is very scalable, he is a testimony for that. In business, someone somewhere will do what you do, that's where being unique or going extra mile comes in

She's in the educational service industry, and her value proposition is she's feeding you information rather than you getting it yourself. She does not own the intellectual rights to her service or information. This is no different than a fast food restaurant where they feed you food but anyone can cook a burger should they wish and can. The difference is that restaurants can build brand recognition that translates to value proposition. Instead of saying she's not a business, tell her to market her business differently so that it becomes scalable like a real business.

This is exactly whay intelligent people work so very hard and sacrifice everything before they know it. Someone else took over everything they created ❤

I have watched so many Vusi videos. To say this is one of the most valuable insight he shares and by far my best video, is an understatement. I have experienced this happening. Bang on the money with his response and articulating the point.

You're very tactful ... you are helping all of us to think differently... many of us are NOT ready to do that. However, when it's put out the way you do it, it is life transforming. Thank you sir.

I don't think I've ever seen someone receive such a verbal lashing. It was both brutal and straight to the point, while not even being remotely aggressive, passive aggressive, rude, or mean. Just a simple, you are not thinking about this the right way. You have good intentions, but you are missing something really important.

One thing I am taking out of this is that bro has composure.
Lady almost lost it, but bro spoke the facts.
Flawless.
