I just got done making an outfit with the "Premier Afternoon Cotton" yarn. It's soft and not expensive and its 100% Egyptian Giza Mercerized Cotton, 3 weight yarn, with cute pastel colors. I really like it.

For thinner yarns because not all of us use DK and above: Eddie Bower adventurer cotton (100% organic cotton) and hobby Lobby bambootifull (100% bamboo) The cotton is fingering weight at 590 yards per every 150 g ball. $9.99 when not on sale but still a deal for the amount. Bambootifull is about a sport weight. Both feel and work up beautifully

My current favorite summer yarn is Ice Yarns Elegant Metallic Cotton. It’s a chainette cotton yarn with a small metallic thread running through it. I just love how it shimmers in the sun or under the fluorescent lights at my work. The key is to make something with positive ease, though. I’m currently making the Chain Reaction crochet top by April Gopwani and I love the drape. ❤

Yarn is becoming a struggle for me, especially for garments I wear. I realised I prefer acrylic yarn because it’s not very scratchy, kinda soft and isn’t stiff compared to my crocheted cotton (?) yarn. I have sensory issues, so this video is great!
