Love those old Venice Canals - I would love to visit there even go as far as to live there ?In the late Eighties - A good friend of mine - Went on a holiday to the states for a few weeks and stayed near Venice Beach - On his return - The photos my friend showed me about Venice Beach - I instantly fell for the place ! - In fact my wife who was also looking at the photos at the time - Said about the guy who rented my friend his room " He looks very much like my Cousin Chris ?" - And when it turned out it was ! - My drinking Buddie and Pal had travelled half way across the Globe & Stayed with my wifes Cousin ?But really I would love to visit L.A. and Venice Beach is on the very top of my list - Thankyou for sharing this interest piece of film !

So strange, all that space to build roadways and yet they have to fill in a few unique canals.. almost an act of domination

Friends of mine have had a pair of trucks from the Venice miniature railway for decades. They are under a flat car on private property.

Very nicely done video. But I’ve lived in LA and let’s be honest, Venice is a DUMP, and that canal water I wouldnt touch with a 6 foot stick

I didn't realize any of the canals were still around.  I was looking on youtube for video of the canals, like the ones in the still pictures from this video.

Los Angeles was once the largest wetlands in North America. Alligators everywhere. They killed them off like the wolves and ECT. GREED.
