Los Angeles (California) will continue to give Las Vegas its former residents.

I wasn’t on board with changes after 1980 but no one asked me or cared .

At this point, why would you want more growth?

But .. here is the kicker ….. there were folks living there before these people complaining that people are moving in. Lol

Having moved to NW Las Vegas in February of this year even I can tell this growth is going to be unsustainable when it comes to energy use. Not to mention every realtor I have spoken with has told me to avoid this area due to the crime.

Believe it or not this started heavily during the Pandemic.. They were literally building tons of houses in my area in 2020.. Now, there is so much construction going on, new arenas, casinos, offices etc.. Need new job markets and an updated hospital..
Its getting out of control in these desert cities because there is an increase in crime and city services are dropping.

Sold my Seattle, Washington house for $2.1 million (purchased the home in 1996 for $550, 000, THANKS Seattle real estate market!!! 😁👍), and retired at 50, paid ALL CASH for my beautiful, HUGE, Silverstone Ranch home with a huge pool for $750, 000! (in Seattle, the home would cost about $5 million!!). No more rain, cold, grey sky…..did I mention ENDLESS rain?!?

Folks bought homes complainig that other's are buying homes where they live as if they were promised no other homes will be built in that area. It's just fir them because they were there before the others. Laughable. 😅
There is a whole lot of desert for sale here wher you can do just that.
Don't know where all the water is gonna cone from with everyone moving here. Advertising everywhere.

I'm on the North side of Vegas in a 1 bd that went from 1300 to 1500. There needs to be some way to stop these apartment places of raising the rent to these scary high prices. I remember when you could find a 1bd for $650 now you need to pay freaking crazy amounts. It's hella shady that they take advantage of pet owners 350 deposits, 35 pet rent, 150 pet process fee, 20 pet insurance. The cost of living in Vegas is very bad now. My progressive car insurance this year went from 100 to 170, now it jump from 170 to 230 due to my 2021 Hyundai car I drive. My Cox internet jump up from 130 to 150 and I still get the same shit.

We don't want more people moving here. As the developers continue to build in our area, we slowly lose our dark skys, well and septic rights as well as trails to ride our horses. This has been our dream neighborhood since my wife and I have been kids and it's charm is quickly being taken away from us.

Too many new people here....the area is now too overgrown. How do we support all these new people with extra water.

Seeing this made me reflect that time I moved away from the NW areas of Skye Canyon and Centennial Hills during the New Year Eve 2022/2023. I remember seeing this development around the neighborhoods.

So much for worrying about water shortages, it's build like there's no tomorrow, so local government can garner more taxes for their social programs, and paying the people they employ. Maybe they will fix some of the surface streets that are in disrepair.

It’s HOW we grow. We need a more traditional approach
