Resistors are elements of electrical circuits that resist and reduce the flow of current through the electrical circuit. They can also be used to provide specific voltages to active components. Resistors are available with fixed or variable resistance values.

Many thanks, been searching for "what color is a 4.7 k resistor?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Henucas Panrooklyn Equalizer - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )?

It is a good one off guide for discovering how to repair electronic devices like a pro without the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my co-worker got cool success with it.
