Here's my entry for the Nightwish "The Crow, the Owl and the Dove" Nuclear Blast's Fan Video Contest

And I must say, those last days were one hell of a journey! There were so many moments I felt happy, inspired, but others where I felt sad, nervous, affraid I would not meet the deadline... You name it! My state of mind was on a big roller coaster ride, like Imaginaerum! It is finished now, and I feel really happy for making it to the deadline.

I want to thank all my friends and family for the support! I wouldn't have managed to finish without it!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the art style. There is power in simplicity. This wasn't a high budget animation, and I think it is absolutely spectacular. The emotion it conveys is really rather breathtaking.

Most Nightwish fans know that Tuomas loves Disney, so I think to dismiss animation as only being for kids misses a large part of the band’s ethos.
To quote Brian Aldiss “…when childhood dies, it’s corpses are called adults…”

In the Imaginaerum movie, this song plays when the father starts writing his last memories in blood, his finger twitching while he's on his deathbed and his daughter reading his words and arranging them in this wild tapestry they're supposed to form. This video makes me just as emotional as that scene.

i don't know why.. but the scene where the swan enters the stage makes me cry like a baby every time i see this (and i can't stop clicking the replay button!) Its the simplest thing.. that music, and the sight of the swan, turning into a hand and takes you away to fly... it touches the soul in the most pure way possible! I don't know how you did it... but you did it! Thank God for people like you who can make vids like these that touch people so much!!
