Although not Idol's highest-charting hit, it is often considered one of his most recognizable songs. In the US, it peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Bubbling Under the Hot 100 chart on 27 November 1982, then reached No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 on 2 July 1983 after it was re-issued. It went to #9 in Australia.

Billy Idol was Peak Heat in the early 80s 💪🏻🔥 I doubt there was a person on the planet that he couldn’t have successfully wooed if he’d set his mind to it. Billy Idol's debut album certainly got my attention with this song and video. It was the start of a long line of hits mainly written by Idol and guitarist Steve Stevens. Idol's then girlfriend Perri Lister plays the bride in the video. If you are old enough to remember, she was a dancer of The Kenny Everett Video Show and she also danced topless in the 1982 Duran Duran video for the single "The Chauffeur" as well as appearing in several of Idol's video's. Although his official channel has the video in HD, I went one better to 4K and also produced a better picture. If I can do better than the official video, I will post them up. I know I said I would stop doing 4K, but ummm.... I didn't. In fact I am not really meant to be doing videos at the moment, but am on a break from other things so will do a couple now and then.
