A moonbeem colour 2001 model mpfi stock 800 along with me. It's a gem. It can be maintain as cheap as a splendor's service cost.. Mileage is great. Power figures are low in paper only..
Only an enthusiast can recognize that.
Once, I met with an accident in 800 but me and my sister escaped with no injuries..
Its low slung design helped the vehicle from rotation after the accident.
Perfect design..
I think its the first front wheel drive mechanism in an indian manufactured car at that time.
No sensors less electronics... No problems...

Still Maruti cars can be seen running in the traffic at almost all parts of the country. When most cars have vanished from usage & become extinct, Maruti 800 is the only car which is still having a healthy presence in Indian roads. Thanks for making this episode.😊

1987 model. ஞாபகம் வருதே ஞாபகம் வருதே என்று பாட வைத்து விட்டீர்கள் . மிகவும் விரும்பத்தக்க எபிசோட். நன்றி.

my dad bought an omini on 2016, I learned driving from omini, it clocked one lakh kilometers, we sold it this june, because in need to upgrade the car. It had a good resale value and now we bought etios liva in preowned market....
but the memories and personal connect I had with omini holds a special place in my life.☺

My first car is 800DX mpfi euro II sapphire blue ac. It was an extension of my home. It was not luxury 24 years back. My kids were born & brought up in It. Since then, I have changed 4 cars, essential to comfort. I logged 1.2 lakh kms in it.
