Faulty light autopsy with 'electronic noise' on the video.

I recently smashed the screen on the phone I normally use to record the videos, and this video was recorded after fitting a new third-party screen (complete with the word "Moto" blacked out.)
It works as a screen, but there's now a noise issue on the audio, so I probably won't be making more videos with this phone. My apologies for the annoying electronic noise in the background. I'll check out the screening inside, but I think the issue is the screen itself.
This is an autopsy of a faulty rechargeable PIR light that won't take a charge.
If you enjoy these videos you can help support the channel with a dollar for coffee, cookies and random gadgets for disassembly at:-
This also keeps the channel independent of YouTube's advertising algorithms allowing it to be a bit more dangerous and naughty.

That twinge of excitement when Clive says "What's the worst that can happen"

"I had an incident when I set off an explosive charge in the vicinity of the phone". Most people just drop their phone in the bog!

Damaged LiIon cell? Let's put charge in it. Love it.

I liked the reminder that taking lithium batteries apart isn't normal. No, it's not, but if we wanted normal we wouldn't be watching a Big Clive video!

I binge your videos all the time...just did my first hack...cut the flashy leds off my ultrasonic anti-barking dog zapper to make it stealthy for night use...works a dream!

"Wheres my explosion containment pie dish?" Draws said dish elegantly into shot named appropriately, love this channel.

“It’s up-side down...” the electrons will fall out. Which probably accounts for the battery problem; once all the tightly packed electrons fell out, there was nothing holding the electrolyte in, so it leaked out, too. 🤪

The "pleasant odor" you are loving when opening these batteries is dimethyl carbonate. It is not particularly toxic with an ld50 in the few gram/kg range and breaks down into (in these quantities) harmless methanol and co2 in vivo. Carcinogenicity data is unavailable but just looking at the molecule and judging by its harmless rapid breakdown products I'd highly doubt it is. May be an endocrine disruptor but in these tiny quantities and non bioacumulative nature, who cares.

Every time you tear apart a battery like that, I'm reminded of "Fruit Roll-Ups". Does that happen to anyone else?

I think some of the “diffraction layers” you mentioned are, in fact, sheets of indium tin oxide, which are a primary component in touchscreen devices.

talking about electric noise, I have a power supply that does a lot of electric noise for some reason and I was wondering what could be the reason. Besides noise it doesn't seem to have any problems.

Wait gym?! Big Clive uses a gym?! I thought you was in the "I've got a proper job so don't need to go to the gym cause I work hard enough" club?

I must admit... I like the design of your powerbank shown at the end of this video. It has a "cracked porcelain" design quite similar to David Tennant's sonic screwdriver.
