This is why I love Eastern European Football, All the big leagues in Europe have become theatre events, sanitised by the federations and UEFA. This is passion at its finest, its raw, its uncensored, this is football.

newcastle missing out on 4th place in 2012 was a hammer blow for them, could have gone so much different if they got 4th spot

He actually was a pretty decent manager tbf
Got Newcastle 5th without the money
If Howe gets 5th next year he'll be hailed a legend

I honestly couldn't tell you who his last English club was, but fair play to him for taking a challenge abroad

This is even weirder than Rafa going to China and David Moyes going to Real Sociedad

League one is actually massively underrated, they've gotten some good results against big teams as of recent.

Having attended some CSKA matches the fans are really something else! I'm from Belfast and travel over frequently.

That's what I call failure. From number 1 Premier League season manager to losing 5-0 to Ludogorets.

CSKA fan here, Pardew got really bad luck being appointed right after the previous coach screwed up the team and left right before two derbies (one of which the cup final). He might not get a proper chance...

Looks like he's staying at Butlins 😂😂

great piece, but the CSKA manager definitely was not sacked unexpectedly, they just had really bad luck and a massive drop in form, from a Botev Plovdiv fan

Hes still on Newcastles wage book after that 8 year contract, just touring Europe having a laugh... Good on him

He'll probably be out by the end of the season. Cska is a mess of a club and they change managers frequently - something common for a lot of clubs over here. Pardew is overall the 3rd one in charge for this season only. As for the final itself Levski Sofia completely deserved it and won their first major trophy after a 13-year long drought. Pardew was tactically outplayed and Cska didn't even have a single shot on target during the whole game.
