Was going to say interference... But 0:43 shows it was just a collision course. Where one was 3x faster than the other player.

Wow!!! That was an amazing tape to tape pass from Aho to Lindholm!

Aho strikes me as one of those players that’s incredibly talented but will always take a beating.

Not a bruins fan but kid was going really fast and wanted to play the puck it’s not intentional

Not a dirty hit but I'm not sure it's a legal one either. I don't know about the modern rules but McAvoy left both feet on the hit. Shouldn't that be a charging penalty? I suppose he might have been trying to actually AVOID the hit? Primary point of contact was the head. If Aho is injured, feels like it should get looked at but ultimately would expect McAvoy to not a get a suspension.

Both skates are off the ice before the impact, this should be 100% a penalty right?

We just not going to talk about mcavoy leaving his feet 😂

It happened fast but it’s very clear in slo-mo. It was a D to D pass after the interception. McAvoy had the puck. He jumped to avoid Aho and maintain possession. Even tho Aho probably didn’t intend to do it, the play was still technically Aho’s hit on McAvoy even tho he got the worst of it.

I have followed NHL hockey since 1969 - 1970. What I figured out is the defense needs to separate the puck from the puck carrier. Similar to football. So many times the defense continues to play the puck.. instead of just stepping/skating right into the puck carrier.. that throws the whole play off before it begins to develop.

I thought it was a truck at first but it almost looked like Chuck was trying to get away from the contact to make a play at the puck that he chipped. Glad Aho looked healthy after the hit tho

0:54 shows McAvoy leaving his feet and first contact is with the head.
Of course NHL Director of Player Safety won't do anything about it because Aho wasn't hospitalized, paralyzed, or killed, and after all, this is the bruins, where cheap shots are so normal that referees don't even call it anymore.

I’m a bruins fan I’m not trying to be biased but that’s a good clean hit he didn’t extend his elbow plus that was a fast collision

incidental contact. looked to be a charge but this isn't a penalty
