Note: two errors in close combat example. U.S. did have flamethrower and the last card shown had a 'reinforce' event which would have resulted in a 'no hit.' Outcome probably would have been the same without those errors but sorry about them!

Just picked up this game and found your video extremely helpful in explaining how it plays. Looking forward to getting this on the table soon! Thanks!

Excellent overview, giving the feeling of the game. I recommend upping the playback speed to 1.5 or more, to correct for the narrator's halting delivery.

Very interesting presentation (your voice and tempo are just fine), thank you. The D-Day series is not easy to learn but it certainly is well-worth the effort!

I have this game set up and ready to play with my son. I’ve read through the instructions twice, but needed something to pull it all together for me. This video did that. Excited to play. Thank you!

You've added yet another great video to your repertoire. I'll admit being a bit worried that -- after hearing of the events related in your B.S.M. Pandora (again)_ video -- you might be considering stopping. Please don't. You're bringing an enthusiastic as well as rational approach to the games you discuss. I've enjoyed them all since watching your vid discussing pacifism and wargaming.

As regards _Peleliu_. you hit the proverbial nail on the head. It *is* utterly brilliant. Butterfield's _D-Day_ games have that unusual quality of making the solo player NOT feel as if she is working her way through a puzzle. They're not baffling in terms of rules complexity, but they can be truly brutal for those who mistakenly believe ANY beach landing is a simple jaunt. Whenever I'm playing any of Butterfield's _D-Day_ series, I just keep chanting: "Make it stop, John. Make it stop."

Since I enjoyed your coverage of Celles and you are obviously enjoying Butterfield's designs, are you thinking about acquiring his _Enemy Action: Ardennes_? A bit more rules-heavy, yes, but still a fresh solo treatment of the ubiquitous Bulge-genre.You might take a heavy shine to it.

Anyway... so very well done. I look forward to more in the future.

Great video (again!). I bought Omaha Beach, and just introduced it to my gaming buddy. I wasn't sure if she'd like it, but it is now #1 on the To Play list. We are watching videos & reading the rules, and will play it this week. I've recommended this video to her.

I've had this one on my shelf now for about a year and still haven't opened it, but your video made me want to dive right in. I'm a bit hesitant being that I'm newer to the wargame genre.
Thanks again for the great video - as usual, very descriptive/detailed.

Side note*
I'd love to see a review of Conflict of Heroes (solo), if you happen to have it. I bought the system with the solo expansion a while back and haven't made the rotation through the other games to that one yet.

I set the game up today, I'd put all the pieces in labelled drug bags previously for convenience, and got to turn five before I was interrupted

I've been away from your channel a year or longer. I was researching this game and it lead me back to you! I had recommended the Hackmaster RPG DMs guide to you, and I did see where you mentioned me in a follow up review of that book back at that time! Great information on this game, I'm going to buy it and Tarawa too. - James Johnson

The first U.S. card has a blue for the third colour (the card that has heroism); does this count as a hit?

Hi, and thansk for this helpful video, but i've a doubt: at the start you are at turn 6, and all the Japanse tanks are at his starting position. It's possible ?

The video is more about a review of the game and game strategy, rather than about game play. Only at the halfway point do you provide a short example of close combat play. But then you revert back to reviewing. And overall good video, but maybe the title of it should be changed.
