If you want absolutely don’t want to see the magnet then stacking two or three magnets increases the holding power. The downside is you use more magnets and you have to have enough room in the part to double or triple the magnets.

thank you for making a tutorial on how to add mannets reliably

First time I ever tried Print Pause, i didn't realize it ALSO needs to be a little bit press fit, otherwise your hotend might pick up the magnet as it passes.

Add bare metal on one side and magnet on another. Polarity issue will be moved. Flat head screws works the best

I like the last one. It does reduce strength but you can just add more and or more powerful magnets. It is just so clean.

Make the magnets in the in print design opposite polarities so that you can twist the cap 180 degrees and have the same effect

Would have never thought of 2, 3, and 4, NICE!!!

Use magnet 🧲 dust. Just sprinkle 14.3 grams per every 4.8 square inches. The conversion is exactly 3.14 x 2 / 17.2^4

My favourite is creating a small lid that snaps into place over the magnet. It's more effort and not every part is suited for it, but you don't need super glue, you have no visible holes, you can still flip the magnets and you can modulate the strength of the magnets easier.

Stack the magnets so it orients itself the right way. Get an alcohol or erasable marker and mark one side of the stack by coloring it or putting a dot. Remove a magnet and repeat. This will prevent you from sticking a magnet the wrong way and its erasable.

Bro really likes his abilty move his magnets into a different orientation

Ball magnets for hidden pockets are amazing for no longer having to worry about polarity!

if you don't wnat to see them but need strength judt get stronger magnets.. i know sounds basic but increses cost...

how about placing the magnets on the verticle plane rather than the horizontal. so you put the magnets in the lip, not the top, of the lid, and in the wall, not the top, of the piece? this would help you avoid the magents pulling away from the piece.

Crazy how this was just a thought in my brain, then Youtube served me this content 😂🤯

You can make little snap pockets for the magnets. It relies slightly on flex. You make the "overhang" method from this video but provide a pocket around the magnet seating, and put a couple splits in the extruded seating to allow it to flex. Also the seating needs to have an access port to push the magnet back out. It works similar to a plastic buckle on a shopping cart or backpack.

You can add an area modifier on Bambu studio and have the surface over the magnet only do 1 top layer. Probably wouldn’t lose too much strength

You could also do the last method but grab a 3d pen and use the same filament to cover the hole in. At least in theory you could pack in more material to have a stronger hold onto the magnet from the part, down side is more after print finishing to smooth the area out so ymmv

I'll give them all a try because I was thinking of doing a print-pause but knew it would inhibit the strength of the magnet which is important.

I need to see a more in-depth video on option number four!
