There's something so special about the relaxing effect of rain sounds. Instead of providing a sense of relaxation through artificial means, like a person tapping on something or whipsering--rain is a thing near completely out of our control, each raindrop splashing on the ground or raindrop falling from a leaf a sound created not by a human--but the Earth itself. Its like the Earth is the one directly soothing us. Weird thought.
