The Vancouver Canucks lose to the Vegas Golden Knights to end their season. Has Brock Boeser played his last as a Canuck? Quinn Hughes can finally rest now heading into the offseason... It's a big one for the Canucks. NHL Playoffs start in a few days i'll be covering the Montreal Canadiens vs Washington Capitals series along with the Toronto Maple Leafs vs Ottawa Senators.

Starting next season without any locker room drama, a healthy squad, some freshly conditioned prospects (Lekkeremaki in particular) and some consistency should help make next year a much better year. As long as they don’t get rid of Tocchet, we should come out flying next year. If they ditch Tocchet, the boys will have an adjustment period that could derail the season in a similar manner to how the locker room drama did this year.

this season had its up and downs (mostly downs) but gave us great moments like the comeback in dallas and quinn tying alex edler for points. not the season anyone was hoping for especially after the great 23-24 ssn. but hopefully we can pull together for the next one. i really hope they find a way to keep boeser even the it seems like that won't be happening 😔

Thanks for the videos this season Deaner. It was a frustrating season for sure, but we'll all do it again next year!

22 Forwards, 14 Defense and 5 goaltenders were used this season. We sure were close in a season everything went wrong.

been with you the whole season deaner. All the way from Sweden. Well done, not easy to be a Canuck this season. But great job and the commitment is unreal.

Another great season Deaner, thank you!

They offered him a 5x8 and he turned it down. Canucks should learn from Petey's trials and tribulations and put their foot down when they offer fair value and yet it is rejected. And unlike Petey's role on the team as this can-do-all centerman, Boeser plays a clean-up, net-front role which is ultimately replaceable -- especially if the Canucks were to spend $8M+ on free agency this summer.

Great video, sad the way it ended but it is what it is. Lots of work needed this off-season. Also excited to watch you cover the battle of Ontario and the Caps vs Habs in the playoffs!

The league is getting faster every year and Brock is not. I like him but he is a second liner in 5 on 5 and needs sheltering on match ups. A right hand shot PP specialist could be filled by Lekkerimaki. If BB agreed to second line money, sure sign him, but his agent and the player's association will insist on 30 goal comparables money.

If he takes similar to DeBrusk it would be fine.

Glad it can be put behind us. Off season? I'll be expecting something out of Rutherford and Allvin.

I was cut off and didn't see anything after the end. I did not hear any love for Brock. Was I wrong?

Thanks Deaner. Appreciate all your work.

Team has both 1st and 2nd round picks for the first time in 6 years... I will be very surprised if they actually use them

We will have another overpaid mid tier player in boeser. If he was a star he would have had more of an impact last few games but nah…Just a norm for the Canucks to overpay players that don’t produce once they sign that contract.

Canucks have made numerous mistakes with Allvin as GM.

Local media still giving him a free ride though even though they are treading water and have no direction or identity.

I feel like the canucks think Lekkerimaki can fill the void that Boeser leaves behind. If he does, we could use that 7-8 mil for a center....its a gamble for sure. But really sad to see him go, you can tell he wanted to be here, you can see the pain in his eyes thinking that he wont be

No boeser is slow his line only had 1 shot yesterday shows he's useless if hes not getting set up for a shot

considering how much the cap is going up.. so many teams have more cap space than the canucks. 2 teams even have over 30 mill vs the canucks 14 mill of capspace. they will be paying thru the nose for a replacement winger who may or may not be better than boes.

No.

Bigger, younger, faster is needed.
