Hey Steven - When you open a case with latches like the silver one with the pover chips, the case will be right side up when you have to flip the latch up! Having the latches open down and the case will be upside down. Latches up and the top will be up. Latches down and the top will be down. Hope this helps. Thanks for the video!😊✌

I don't think the former owner was creepy at all. He did travel a lot and seems to like to shop everywhere from museums to straw markets. Too bad the books are being eaten by silverfish. Some were probably cool souvenirs also.

The wood piece with the metal pieces sticking out of it, looks like a kalimba aka as a thumb piano. The metal pieces are set to lengths so that when moved they vibrate at a specific tone. It works on a principle similar to a music box. Not great value, but likely a couple of dollars.

The wooden hand and mannequins are a tool for artists to help get proportions correct when drawing .The wooden thing with metal prongs is known a a thumb or finger piano, hope this helps

It was hard to watch today. I couldn't keep up and got a bit confused. Most of the things that you said creeped you out were to me signs of an art student and a scholar interested in different religions. I was interested but lost track of some of it. Those are just souvenirs. From traveling I recognize a lot of this items from tourist gift shops etc. the person was just well traveled. Other countries etc.

I didn't think unit was creepy at all. Some things that seem creepy to you may not be creepy to someone else. They could even had sentimental value to this person. The wood statue and hand are for art students. I have the same two wood pieces because I studied art in college, along with Architecture and Engineering. All those things seem perfectly normal to me.
