The Evo has been such a cool build outside of the mega maintenance and frame replacement that we had to. This car was destined for the scrap yard unfortunately, I feel like we saved a life here!

I learned so much about these cars in just a month. Tuning it on the link for pump fuel and ethanol was a breeze as the motors are pretty simple yet very potent!

well looks like I'll be stocking up on some oil this weekend, lol - my 4Runner is due an oil change anyway (along with some re-wiring for the evap system). Love the older EVO's, was the best bodystyle - I feel the same about WRX's GC8 was the best chassis. Also love the fact that here in GA it would be emissions exempt due to age - my favorite vehicles from HS are now obtainable here stateside.

There was a ralliart gauge cluster which included the boost, oil and voltage gauges that went into the space where you put your stereo. The top was either blanked or had a stereo installed there. Good luck finding a genuine ralliart one though. If you do find one it would be a nice addition. Only problem is I recall the boost gauge only going up to 1.5 bar so if youre thinking of running more than 22 psi then that gauge isnt going to help you hahaha. I miss my Evo 5 bro. Watching videos like these always brings back the memories... When Tommi was driving for Mitsubishi in the WRC it was definitely my favourite era.

Welp gonna have to hit up the ole AZ for some Penzoil then lol. Love the resto-mod going on with this thing. I can remember when the EVO 7 came to the US to battle the STI when I was just starting to drive, those cars were so cool to see on the road. I never see the EVOs anymore and very rarely see the STIs.

I think the only thing you missed was swapping out the suspension arms. The later models use the aluminum arms where the 5 had the cast steel arms. I think you save about 100lbs over all with that swap. It’s my favorite generation of evo, the RS just makes it that much better. Someone is going to have a blast in that thing.

Can your upgrade the wing? Its not a bad looking wing its the part thats got the 3rd brake light. Its weird how it comes to a point in the middle.
