Not a very happy way to go, but it looks like he at least was able to pass knowing someone cared for him

I will never forget SSG Clemens.

I was a married soldier who just got served divorce papers right before my first deployment. I was very depressed because I had 2 year old who didn't see me much because his mother wanted her new boyfriend to be "dad." Anyways, I met SSG Clemens overseas, and when I tell ya she had the brightest smile, I truly mean it. During that year I spent a lot of time alone, but she always made a point to ask me about my family and helped me get in contact with my son. Truly a godsend.

Fast forward, her time was up and she was ready to go home. But the chain of command said no, they have an award ceremony planned and she would need to convoy to Mosul (one of the most dangerous parts of Iraq at the time) for the "dog and pony show". She politely said no thank you, she would like to make it home instead. Of course that fell on deaf ears. Well she made it there, and the very next day the chow hall was attacked and she didn't make it. Her was family was never told of the delay, and end up finding out at the airport waiting for her arrival. Yea, you read that right, her husband and 2 small children found out at the airport waiting for her. To this day I think about her, and how the world is a little bit smaller now. 😢

imagine after he died he was declared innocent, and then the daughter realizes the mom's true colors, and she lives with her regrets, knowing she took her daughter's fatrher away, making her live with hatred of her mom

Being falsely imprisoned would be bad, but having your loved ones turn away from you would be a sentence worse than death to me.

And I can guarantee that eventually it was proven he was innocent.. and then the widow will have to admit to her daughter she was the real monster.

So.
I was in schools after a test and I saw a kid crying on the floor, I came up to him and asked why he was crying and I thought because he failed the test. But he told me that today his brother passed away from sickness and tears went down my eyes cuz that reminded me of my dead grandpa that I always loved..

It's so terrible the amount of people that get wrongfully convicted, it's inhumane how people act when they think someone committed a crine. 😢

It may not seem like it but there’s always someone waiting for you, wants to be with you, don’t throw away that chance even in the darkest of moments

I was hanging out with my little brother about a month ago when he mentioned to me and my grandma how he never gets to see his dad. Me and him have the same dad but different moms. My dad used to have him over as a baby all the time before Covid. Then, out of nowhere, he stopped talking about him, having him over, etc. Now my dad tries to act like he did nothing wrong, even though he takes his yelling way too far and even grabbed my by the neck two weeks ago. It broke me to hear my little brother be so sad but also so calm, as I am most of the time just because I’m used to it. I saw my little brother again about a week ago.

"The nurses finally got there"

They didn't rush to save him, you can be sure of that.
