Hello and thank you for watching. This stroke method has really benefited my Pool stroke. By pushing the cue forward slightly, prior to full acceleration, this allows for more control.
Give this a try and I’m sure you’ll agree.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

I have been working on this the last few practices. My transition has never had a pause at the back. For some reason, it finally clicked for me and has instantly transformed my shot making ability. I'm instantly a better pool player. I've been so hyped about this new addition to my game that i forgot to pay attention to see if I'm gradually speeding up to contact. Lol, now that I've rewatched the video, I'll have to pay attention to that part. Btw, am i the only one who watches instructional videos over and over? I need to refresh what the basics of the concept are. As well as once i have it down, i sometimes catch small pieces of advice i might have missed before i fully understood what i was trying to accomplish.

This stroke lesson has helped me improve in ways I wasn't thinking about. This technique helps my patience with the stroke. I've added a longer pause before striking the cue ball.

Great work, Ron.

Excellent. This serious you have had on the pool stroke has been excellent. And what you showed in this video has been something I have been working on for months. Yes, it really helps.

Great tip sir! I tried this out today and noticed that my accuracy was much improved. It seems that this eliminates grip arm side movement during my stroke on longer shots. Thanks for your channel sir!👍

Not sure if you follow other pool YouTubers. The PoolTryHard Dupree I believe made a video discussing this same concept. It is in which he learned this from Lil Chris and his boot camp with the Minnesota pool coach I forget his name. It is definitely a game changer. Your explanation is much more refined I feel. Great video.

I took this approach to my mighty x drill this morning. Stop shots I didn’t really notice anything. My follow shots definitely more accurate. I followed the white in most shots. The big change was with draw. Idk if it’s a timing thing, mental, or maybe I’m just hitting them good today but I have a lot more action on the draw!

Love your content! I’m in the same spot you were in 4 years ago. Just started seriously practicing/playing around a year ago. Too bad I’m on the other side of the state from you. Keep up the great content! I’ve pretty much started your video series from the beginning and slowly working through.

Hi Ron. I like your advice and your channel. I'll try this but I want to relate to you something I have changed and it has helped me. I had a history of trouble making long shots. I video taped myself and noticed there is a lot of movement in my backswing. I started bracing my cue stick to my body and that his moved my arm to a natural vertical position and cut all the lateral movement out of my swing. I have also cut down on the backswing distance. Pulling the cue back 5 or 6 inches give me too much chance to start steering the cue. These two things have helped me a ton. Just thought I would mention this to you. I also spend a lot of time practicing with pocket reducers. I know they give an unnatural bounce off the sides but I try to concentrate and that has also helped me. Greg...Faithful subscriber...

I've never heard this anywhere. Interesting, I can't wait to try this.

Some people call it "timing", it is in fact the smooth acceleration of the cue stick, and max acceleration/speed at contact point. This 3/4 inch concept should fall under this category. The important point is "how to pull the trigger, I mean how to trigger the transition of a stroke". I saw that you have extra-long follow through, it would not help too much as the contact time is only 200msec (approx).

Gave this a try. Wow! Was a little awkward for about the first hour. Then it kicked in. And the feel you get....

Im from dominican republic and im looking for a good pool cue but not expensive.. can you recomend one for me please?

Please talk about bridge distance, I find it hard to aim and my stance feels awkward when I place my bridge close to the cue ball (around 15-20cm but when I place my bridge far away from the cue ball (28-35cm), I find it easier to aim. I want to fix this because I know short bridge will provide more accuracy and consistency.

Hey Ron, maybe not the most related question but when wanting to put top/bottom english, do you recommend changing the height of the cue butt or the height of the bridge? Thank you.

Will definitely add this to my routine thanks again Ron!

Why do you think higher level pool players frown on pool leagues? Seems like the stronger players in most legitimate pool rooms have a nasty distain for leagues and people who play in them. In your opinion Ron, I wonder why this is?

I’ve tried it, but one thing is, I can’t see the tip to aim at the cue ball I do not know how much English to put on the Cue ball
