Very nice vintage collection and interesting family sentimental pieces its commendable that you care for them and hopefully will pass them on to future generations. The pocket watch when closing you should depress the pushbutton when closing and release it while holding the cover closed this saves the lip on the cover. For the back cover it should most likely be snap-on back check the edge with a magnifier all around the circumference should be a fingernail grove most people use a case opening tool like Bergeon no. 7403 or similar (put a plastic to protect like a zip loc bag piece first). I would watch some YouTube videos on opening pocket watch case backs first.
I enjoy your video's and I have my Grandfather's Bulova watch I am interested in knowing about the archives you mentioned. I am a fellow collector in NYC area I assume based on some of the backgrounds in your video's.
