7:04 it´s actually far more difficult to get rid of excess heat. in the vacuum of space you don´t have anything to loose/transfer heat to. WOW, that is a proper Neil deGrasse Tyson comment.

Space isn’t really cold, to measure temperature you’re really looking at the kinetic energy of molecules, and a vacuum really doesn’t have many of those to measure. As there aren’t many molecules convection is essentially nonexistent, and heat can only be transmitted via radiation, thus the side of you facing towards a Star will broil while the other side freezes. The bigger problem with a space station vis a vis thermal regulation is cooling. This is why the ISS has huge photovoltaic radiator panels, to try to get rid of all the heat generated by all the machinery and computers and such, since it can’t be easily convected away. Sorry, got a bit KSP there.Glory to Raptoria!
