Even though this feature is impressive but I would rather have something like the quick resume feature available so I wouldn't have to begin at the start up screen. JMO.

I dont think quick resume matters however i am taken back at this feature because during the ps5 showcase it showed the quick resume of games NOT the restarting every time option. So i was extremley bummed out about this. It was like a they blatantly lied to our faces about this feature

Not exactly what I expected. I thought you can continue the game like the Xbox.

Interesting. As far as I thought, they were going to have be a true suspension or save state. Not restart the game again. Unless it didn't suspend the game due to the fact that the PS5 knew Miles Morales had _just_ been started and didn't _"need"_ to be suspended. Hopefully if you're in battle it will actually suspend it in the true sense.

Even if not... That's insanely fast.

It may not be as fast as the quick resume, but hell I’ll take it I don’t need 10 games running in the background, while I can only play one at a time.

Pretty sure it would be quicker to just do it in the home screen.

Doing it in menu:
Hold Ps button down
Look for game
Press X

Doing it with switcher:
Touch ps button
Look for switcher
Press X
Look for game
Press X
Then choose the Play option

Quick Resume has Switcher beaten flat.

This is a completely different thing. it closes the old game and if you didnt save / there isnt a save point you lose progress unlike XBOXs quickresume which freezes the gamestate.

2 years later. Was this fixed? Games on PS5 should be like apps on phone, you can just go back and forth between them.

This is not really what Sony advertised. Should be able to suspend and jump back without reloading.
