The cph-hamburg is also a regional line, so passengers use it for domestic travel too, that's why it's so busy.

Our IC3 is also embarrassingly old. The first IC3 train came into operation in 1990, so it is approx. 33 years old.

German service in trains isn't actually bad. They're just unpunctual.

For fellow europeans here the train goes 205km/h

Can’t wait for the new train bridge, it’s gonna be HYPE! And perhaps less crowded, but that would be a miracle for sure 😵

There actually used to be a straight train Berlin-Copenhagen eight years ago. It was an ICE train, partly German and partly Danish. The whole train even went on the ferry between Puttgarden and Rødby. (It didn't go trought the mainland Dennmak). Such an interesting journey it was. The ferry was in the price of the ticket of course.

You made a reservation on the german leg and found out that it gives you a seat, that it reclines, snacks and water? Had you made a reservation for the danish leg as well you would also had a reclining seat. Without the reservation you do sometimes have to enjoy your included breakfast, chocolate, cookie, water and coffee not seated since they also come with a first class ticket in Denmark like in Germany.

awww so cute, travel in a train in india - especially a local train in mumbai, a train in india would have sometimes more passengers than a full state in some countries

I live in Denmark, and I must say that there is nothing luxurious about the trains here. Not that they are bad. They are just purely used for necessary transportation between Jutland and Zealand. Nothing fancy

On the Copenhagen Hamburg stretch there is literally no first class - just one cabin. You should be able to reserve seats though

Of course you need a ticket for the seat. You think a train to XYZ actually includes space? Do you know how expensive space is?
