I am German. I learned English as a second language and Spansih as third language at school. After finishing school I converted to Islam and that´s why I started to learn Arabic. I Love Arabic and think it is the most beautiful and greatest language in the world. Salam aus Deutschland

Superb video as always.
I am a Japanese currently working on Arabic (MSA and Palestine or Levanon dialect), Turkish and so so so little Portuguese (not Brazilian one).
Thanks to education and the Internet worldwide, I can study several languages through English whose studying materials are NOT written in my native one, Japanese. My English? Ha, never ask me that!!

Hi Zoe, another intersting video thank you. I am a Lebanese and I was born and raised in Sierra Leone. Our official speaking language is English as you mentioned due to the British colonization 11:47 and the widely speaking native language is Creole (Pidgin). Well done Zoe

Bengali is not just rank 7th in the world but also it's one of the sweetest language in the world plus our language almost dead in the 21st February 1952 a lot of people sacrificed their lives for the language. That's why in the 21st February was declared to be International Mother Language Day by UNESCO on 17 November 1999.

I speak Russian, French, I started learning Portuguese recently, Arabic, Spanish, I studied Mandarin for one year in high school (but I really want to start learning it again!) and finally English is my native language. I am surprised how many languages on this list I have some sort of relationship with, but that means hopefully I can talk to more people!

Hey, Zoe. Texan here and I can confirm "Spanglish" is a real thing, especially the further south you get in the state. It almost serves as a lingua franca for those people who only speak one or the other. I can also confirm the existence of a delicious cuisine unique to Texas called "Tex-Mex, " in which--you guessed it--combines Texan and Mexican dishes and flavors. ¡Gracias por tu video!

Your video is so good, thank you a lot. As a Vietnamese people I can speak English and a little bit Manderin so that I'm trying to fluent it. But in 4:47 it is Vietnam not Vietman. I know that you're not intentional but I want to comment because no one wants their country's name to be misspelled. Btw, your channel helps me in my study journey a lot!!!!

I'm surprised you didn't mention Portuguese in African countries, like Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde and São Tomé and Príncipe. Or its impact in India (Goa, much like Macau, was a former colony)
