I love Long Island City! So convenient to public transportation, the NYC Ferry, great restaurants, and an amazing waterfront. Housing costs are out of control though 😭

Hi Sarah as someone who has traveled to NYC four times I have never visted the neighborhood of Long Island City ! I will make sure to vist this neighborhood next time I'm in town.

Great video Sarah! I can remember that area when I lived in NYC back in the late 60s to early 70s. Lots of warehouses and I wiuld think manufacturing of some kind! My Dad would take me on the 7 line out to old Shea Stadium to catch Mets games! I can remember coming out of the tunnels to Court Square, then up to Queensboro Plaza! Great memories! So good to see that area is flourishing!

Looks really nice! I really like how close it is to Manhattan by the subway. I'm sure hotels over there are much more affordable there too with it being away from Manhattan. I also like that there are a lot of great restaurants there too!

My boyfriend and I stayed at a nice hotel in LIC last year and we loved the neighborhood. We were in the the Court Square area right by the Trader Joe’s and the train and it took no time to get to midtown Manhattan.

My daughter got married at the Foundry which is just under the Queens borough bridge and wedding guests stayed at Hotels nearby which were cheaper than in Manhattan. Plus it was one quick train stop into Manhattan.
