Finishing modern family leaves such an empty feeling but still means that it was something incredible and so wholesome that it was worth every second of it

I've been so confused on why I'm so attached to Modern Family like I've always thought it's just another sitcom like I used to be a hardcore multifandom fangirl and I'm not even this devastated when other shows ended
And what I realize is, maybe some people watch it for entertainment purposes, maybe some people watch it to even make fun of it, but for me, what I just realized is, Modern Family was a real family to me. It made me feel like I was a part of the family when my own family dont treat me like one of theirs.
and I think that's really special and I'll never forget how I literally grew up with the show.
