That hot merlot revstar is exactly the one I want! Unobtainable in the USA for some strange reason.

Nice! I like this one a lot! Instead of working up a lead part I had a big time playing a second rhythm part behind the pattern. The cool walk down allowed me to pump the E string to the down beat, alternating an A note on the fifth fret and walking down with the existing track on the A string. Simple but it sounds really cool and once ya get the timing, (it reminds me a bit of ZZTop’s “I Wanna Thank You) it works in several different places on the neck of course and is a good structure to take a lead with also, walking right back to the open E and go back pumping.

Apologies for the poor description, I feel like a light came on on this one though. I’ve been busy noodling over these tracks and my lead phrase vocabulary has improved a lot but I was missing out on trying to make a second rhythm pattern, that’s as much fun as a solo! I’m gonna have to revisit a few of my favorites and see if I can do that with other patterns! Thank you man! 👍
