A Conversation With Geert, The C.E.O of Chessable

This coming deviation tool sounds super cool. Thank you Geert. If you read this: The most important thing still missing (in my humble opinion) is the possibility to set starting moves and end points for reviewing variations individually for single lines. Currently regarding the starting move you can only choose between „whole variation“ (that is from move 1) and key moves and you can only do that for the whole course. This doesn’t allow you to review, say „all Marshall lines from move 15“. Regarding the end point, as a pro you can set the line depth, but again only for the whole course, which doesn’t make much sense in a lifetime repertoire where some chapters on rare sidelines merely have lines that go deeper than move 11, and other chapters only „start“ at for instance move 15 and go 40 moves deep. One should be able to learn or at least review different lines up to different, individually set, depths (some at 11, some at 24 for instance). This has been asked for by me and many other chessable power users again and again, but as far as I know chessable has never clearly answered if that is too difficult to implement or why else they don’t want to do this.

Wow, it sounds like the chessable merge is going to be amazing as far as training goes. Really excited to see the tool that helps see where you stray from your prep. I feel like this could be groundbreaking honestly.
